How to get there:
This summit is located near the highway connecting Oruro and Sucre.
There is an antenna installation on the top and a sturdy 4WD may
drive all the way to the summit.
Route description:
Fork off the Hwy. at location S18.80034, W65.60145. Fork right again at location S18.79156, W65.61113.
Follow this road to the summit.
If you drive, then be careful at a few
spots where the road is somewhat eroded. There is parking available just
before the steep uphill begins, then high on the shoulder and finally at the top.
Comments:
We decided to visit this top. To stretch legs,
we parked high on the shoulder
shortly before the summit. Thus, the walk was a 100 meter vertical gain, easy along
the road. We soon made the summit and the antenna.
