How to get there:
The paved road runs uphill until it suddenly ends at location
N15.44682, E120.04142, elevation near 560 meter.
Route description:
Continue to follow the rougher (dirt) road as it ascends, then level off and
traverses quite some way, passing local houses along the way.
After this section, passing the last few houses, the trail finally heads more sustained uphill.
This trail is really an old, rocky road. Lots of rocks with potentially slippery (when wet) mud
in between. The route passes just below the top of a small subsidiary hilltop, then crosses a very
nice connecting ridge to reach the bigger hill ahead. The vegetation changes to more open
and very nice pine forest. Finally, when the rocky road reaches a crest and starts going downhill.
The route forks left and leaves the road at this point. Continue on top of the ridge, now on a more
traditional trail. After a slightly steeper slope, the pine forest ends and the trail enters
the mossy forest. The trail continues, now with dense vegetation
on all sides until arrival on a flat spot with a summit sign.
A small trail forking right leads shortly to a somewhat more open area that is also a bit higher,
this is near location N15.48112, E120.12136. However, the highest point is not here. One should continue
into the jungle directly beyond the summit sign. Follow a trail to a spot near location
N15.48202, E120.12050, elevation near 2040 meter. There is a rock here that may be defined
as the proper summit.
