How to get there:
The town of Pljevlja is a good point of reference.
Take Hwy. M8 going north-west, drive about 24 km to Gradac and turn left at location
N43.39710, E19.14569, about one kilometer after Gradac.
Continue about 7.6 km to location N43.37533, E19.10662, turn left here.
Next, drive about 5.9 km (south) to location N43.34176, E19.13268. This road changes from
paved to (good) dirt a few kilometer before the next fork. The final
forest road forks right here. Follow this road 8.7 km to the trailhead
Trisova Poljana near location N43.33186, E19.08542, elevation close to 1785 meter.
This road has a few slightly rougher spots in the very beginning, the rest is pretty
good. Normal cars should make it with a bit of careful driving, any SUV will do just fine.
Route description:
A trail marked with some red paint climbs directly left. It will merge
with a trail that starts from the road slightly earlier, then head up
a pretty flat gully, filled with avalanche debris in June 2026.
Soon the trail climbs more steeply and enters a large, open area about 30
degrees steep. The route is hard to follow here (due to the avalanche?), but
this hardly matters, easy to walk anywhere. Head up towards the upper
left area where the trail again is visible. The marked trail may now
be followed to the summit, in early summer, a short, steeper
part may be hidden by snow. Near the top, the route runs gently uphill,
climbers left, then passes through the dwarf pines to arrive
at the summit.

We stayed 2 nights in the town of Pljevlja on the last days of our summer trip, before going
to Sarajevo for our flight home. I left after breakfast and drove to the trailhead without
any difficulties. I was ready to walk around 0920. The trail was partially buried under
snow and debris
from a fairly large avalanche. Mud on top of snow made it a bit slippery.
Near the top, snow remained and made
a short section slightly more tricky, this is likely
completely trivial once the snow has melted out.
I arrived at the summit at 1020,
so a one hour ascent. After a short stroll along the highest
ridge, I signed the nice summit register book. leaving at 1030, I was back down by my
car at 1145.
