How to get there:

Route description:
The trail begins immediately from the small parking area just after and left of the cattle guard. One will soon descend slightly to the bottom of a mini-valley with the higher hill opposite. A fence runs down the hill with an open gate. The trail is a bit confused by tall gras. Do not pass through the gate, rather pick up a steepish trail that runs uphill with the fence now¨directly on your left side. Once up this steep hill, the remaining hike is a stroll on a pretty good trail. The route runs gently across a couple of smaller hills, then ascends to the highest point. A huge boulder marks the highpoint, a metal inscription is located nearby.

Comments:
This was a nice, short walk mostly on or near href="../Brazil/9965_chapeu.jpg">fields of pasture with grazing cattle.
The drive to the trailhead was slightly more challenging than the hike. A pretty narrow farm road with slippery surface due to recent rain.
The hike took about 1:15 to the summit, a little less back. We enjoyed the good weather and stayed on the summit for quite some time.
