Mount Apo

How to get there:
A good point of reference is the large city of Davao with flight connections
to Manila (domestic), but also international like Singapore.
A 2 day cllimb of Apo, typically involves starting from a hotel in Davao on day, then
first drive (a few hours) to the trailhead. The trailhead is near location
N06.95513, E125.31700, elevation about 1160 meter.
Route description:
The route starts along a river (river on your left), then climbs sharply right in order
to arrive in a small village from where the actual route starts.
From here, first across farm land to a small, community church, then more uphill until
the area where farm land ends and the jungle starts.
The trail is generally well marked and fairly easy to follow. You will arrive at
the most popular campsite, Camp I, near location N06.98395, E125.28717, elevation about
2080 meter.
Comments / Trip report:
I did this climb with Rob and Deividas. The climb was organized by Albert,
he runs a small trekking company, Mtapoadventures, and Mount Apo is his
main business. It took 3:45 to hike from the road to Camp II.
This time includes a fair number of breaks, stops.
