Information:

How to get there:
Easy access from Salmon Arm. Locate the beginning (turn left at N50.69632, W119.35195) of Fly Hills FSR. There may be signs for Wallensteen Lake Recreational Area. Drive this road about 20 kilometer. The road is dirt and slightly rough in some spots. A medium high clearance car will do ok. Shortly before the lake, at location N50.65213, W119.46512, a nice dirt road forks right. Take this road. This summit road is smooth and in much better condition than the road getting you up to this point. Near the summit, there is a gate that (possibly?) may be locked. If this is the case, walk from here. Otherwise, drive the very short remaining road and park at the turn-around place just beyond the radar.
Route::
There are 2 competing summit points on opposite sides of the fenced in area. Visit both of them.
Comments:
Adam and I both got Covid-19 a few days earlier and we were now in Salmon Arm waiting to recover, in order to resume our trip. Adam had been here previously, but suggested that I do a visit to this peak as it required no physical effort.
This made sense since staying in the same place multiple days is a bit boring. Also, with temperatures around 38 C, it was really uncomfortable for me with a pretty bad running nose. Hopefully, the temperature would be at least 10 C colder up on this hill.
I arrived at the summit around 1330. There were people working at the antenna installation, 2 cars parked inside the fence, with the gate open. I parked at the turn-around place, then made brief visits to the two possible high points.
I next drove down to the lake in order to spend more time up here and less time in the very hot Salmon Arm.
