Route description:
This is quite a short and easy hike. Continue up the road (paved) until you
reach the col. You will see a house
on the top as you walk the road.
This is very close to the summit. At the col, a pretty big trail exits
right and serves the summit.
There is a second summit point, called Les Agudes, the difference in elevation is
possibly less than one meter. This is at the
end of the ridge that runs north-east
from the col. The distance (straight line) between the two summits is about 1.6 kilometer.
There are 2 trails starting from the col, they merge a bit out on the ridge. This
summit has a cross as well as some
shining plaques at the summit. The summit location
is near N41.78937, E002.44393.
Comments:
I drove from our hotel, just south of Barcelona and parked before 1030. Hiking at
1030, I was on the summit after 20 minutes. A 5 minute break here to
enjoy the view, then another 35 minutes across to the summit of Les Agudes.
My GPS measured the two peaks to 1706m and 1705m, quite good agreement with
the map. Another 5 minute break, then back to my car at 1210. Overall, a pretty
nice, but short and easy hike.
