A good point of reference is the village Ilirska Bistrica.
The access road (mostly paved) starts here and ends at the
trailhead, location N45.58157, E014.4314, elevation about 1465m.
The (short) remaining road is blocked by a locked gate.

First, continue the road until it ends at a local col.

Comments:
This was the first peak on my summer break in Italy with my
wife Heidi. We stayed at the nice hotel Calvi, thus the drive to
this peak was a bit longer than ideal. However, leaving after breakfast
still got me to the trailhead shortly before noon.
I started walking at 1200 and arrived at the summit at 1235. Short and easy
hike on a nice trail. After a few pictures, I left at 1240 and had an easy stroll
back to my car, arriving there after 25 minutes at 1305.
