How to get there:
This peak is an easy ascent from the city of Trento. A narrow forest road (paved)
will lead to good parking near location N46.02861, E11.16481, elevation near 1080 meter.
There is a rifugio shortly beyond, closed when I visited.
Route::
Walk up to the rifugio and follow a signed trail, initially on an old forest road.
After a couple of trail intersections (signed) you will start uphill on a well
maintained trail with around 12 hairpin (zig-zag) curves. Near the upper part keep
left at a couple of forks. A final traverse (climbers left) will end in a small
col just below the final,
short climb to the summit. The summit is well
equipped with a bench for a well deserved rest.
Comments:
I had been visiting the peak Paganella earlier in the day (ski area with lifts),
then arrived at the trailhead by 1230. The easy ascent took 1:15.
I spent 15 minutes on top, before returning back down in one hour.
Few people around, but I did see 2 women while ascending and a single man (with a bike!)
near the summit while descending.
