How to get there:
The best access is from the small town of Kavaklidere.
This town is located about 10 kilometer, direct line, north of the peak.
A nice road, mostly made with paving stone, serves this mountain. An obvious
side road forks right near the highest point of this main road. This summit
road is fine for normal cars, the surface is a bit patchy asphalt. You
may drive all the way to a gate in the fence around the communication mast.
Route description:
Most likely, the gate is open and a person is there on duty. Ask permission to
enter the small area with communication equipment. It is a one minute walk.
Comments:
I arrived after a nice drive from the city of Bodrum. I parked directly
outside the (highest) gate and said hello to the man inside the fence.
He was very friendly and permitted me
immediately to enter the highest ground.
I took some pictures of the view.
The man next asked if I
wanted a cup of coffee, nice, but I told him that I do not drink coffee.
He then offered to take a picture of me (selfie).
The peak has a nice open view in all directions.
I thanked him, but said that was not needed. I told him goodbye and left
after about 10 minutes.
