How to get there:
From the city Bodø, drive towards Kjerringøy. Turn left into a nice parking area at location
N67.40970, E14.70060, elevation near 28 meter. This is the trailhead.
Route description:
This trailhead mainly serves the rock climbing area just inside, a pretty big cliff runs nearby, it has
bolted, sports-climbing routes. However, the trail that runs directly below the cliff, used by climbers
to access the specific route they would like to attempt, is NOT the best way if you want to
climb this peak. Rather, hike uphill among the trees, well left of the climbing area. Higher up, you
will find a good trail that can be followed. See the downhill route on the track posted on peakbagger.
If not any sooner, locate the trail near location N67.41098, E14.69409, you should be on the left side of the
small creek that runs nearby. As you get near to 300 meter of elevation, the trail is again hard to
follow, the correct (best) route heads slightly right near location N67.41454, E14.68854, after a few
meter you will again find a good trail that now may be followed
all the way to the summit. See the track

I was on my way to a DNT meeting at Storjord, but decided that I would have time
for a morning climb. I started out walking uphill on the climbers trail that
followed the base of the cliff. This trail got more difficult and finally got
to a "crux", a short
fixed rope was there to assist climbers. I climbed the
cliff, traversed left on a narrow ledge (YDS) class 3, then finally got back
on easier terrain. After crossing the small creek, I immediately located the
correct trail heading uphill.
Trouble was not completely over, when around 300 meter of elevation, I again lost
the trail. I searched horizontally, (going left), but did not find the trail.
See the posted track on Peakbagger. In fact, I was very close to finding the
continuation (on the right side facing uphill). I ended up going straight uphill
and eventually tending right, I recovered the proper trail.
Fighting pretty strong wind, I continued uphill, reached the summit cairn about
1:50 after leaving my car. The weather did not invite for any longer stay, soon I was
descending. I eventually got below the clouds and got
some limited views east.
I was back down after 1:14, this time staying a fair distance right (south) of the
climbing cliff.
