Information:

How to get there:
Drive Hwy. E-6 north from Fauske. Turn right at location N67.35632, E15.60754. Next turn left at location N67.35150, E15.59876. Follow the main road uphill in a few turns, the last hill will be dirt. This gets you to a big water tank and parking. This is the trailhead, location N67.35215, E15.61031, elevation near 120 meter.
Route description:
Follow the blue marked trail uphill to the summit cairn. You will walk by a rather interesting bench where one may take a break, fairly early in the ascent. The trail is pretty good, but has a couple of spots where you may decide to use an arm for support. This makes the overall route (YDS) class 2.
Note that there are 2 cairns, the second one (without any sign) is the highest point on this peak.
Comments:
I had been at the annual board meeting of the Erling Bjørstad Foundation allocating funds to mountaineering chapters of DNT all across Norway. The board had its traditional hike on Saturday, this time to the nice peak Solvågtind.
Sunday was travel day, but with a flight at 1640, I had plenty time to do a small hike on my way from Storjord to the Bodø airport. I started around 0930 and made the summit at 1100. Good views and time for a rest to enjoy the mountains and the nice fall colors. I next descended in about 1:10, arriving at my car around 1230.
The drive back to Bodø was uneventful and my flight departed on time back to Bergen. I had been hiking for 5 consecutive days, with pretty bad weather the first few days and excellent conditions on these last 2 days, Saturday and Sunday.
