Information:

How to get there:
This mountain is on the island Tysnes. Easy to reach by ferry from Halhjem, south of Bergen. The ferry should go to Våge. From Våge, drive south about 3.8 kilometer, turn left towards Dalen. There is a wider section of the road signed as Dalen Parking, park here, location N60.016000, E005.544038, elevaation about 150 meter.
Route:
Continue along the road past the last farm. You will soon arrive at a fork where Ilefjellet is signed left. Take the right fork, the tractor road will cross a small concrete bridge, then gradually head uphill. Note that some maps are quite wrong in this area, showing two separte trails, this is all wrong, there is only a single good trail. Higher up, this trail forks, stay right (this trail is hard to see), the main trail continues to Gjerstadstølen, while the correct (small) trail will lead to Vesstølen.
From here, one should start ascending the ridge on the right hand side (west side). It may be best to continue a bit more south before ascending south of Kinningefjell. Continue south towards Langedalsvatnet, note that the summit is west of this lake. There are two small summit points, pretty close together, the southern being the highest.
Comments:
I had already been on Ilefjellet. Descending, I was led astray by the map, searching for a second (non-existent) trail. This led me into the hillside with big trees, however a storm had downed many and the area was very unatractive, messy to walk across.
I discovered that the trail on the map simply did not exist. The single trail went quite far uphill before a very faint trail forked right to access Vesstølen. I ascended to the ridge before getting to the small building. However, based on my experience, it is likely better to ascend somewhat later, ie. more south. I arrived at the summit around 1050, quite some time to cross from Ilefjellet, but my track was far from optimal. Leaving at 1100, it took me one hour back to my car at 1200.
