How to get there:
This mountain is located on the island of Stord. From Bergen, travel E-39 to Halhjem and take the ferry to Sandvikvåg. The ferry takes 45 minutes and departs every 20 minutes.
Turn right after exiting the ferry. Drive to Fitjar, then make a left and find the road serving the wind turbins. There is a big parking at location N59.90817, E5.37173, elevation about 270 meter.
Route:
Take the road that runs up to lake Svartavatnet. Just before the lake, a trail froks left. Take this uphill, it will connect with a wind turbine road on top. Follow this to a small lake, turn right on a trail that will get you to the final short uphill.
Comments:
I was in the area on April 24th., with Heidi. She was looking for "stolper", a Norwegian tour orienteering concept. A short side-trip from our location got me to this summit. It turned out that this summit called Beinatjørnvarden was not the highest in the area. Thus, I returned on December 9th. and climbed the correct summit.
