How to get there:
This hill is located near Hwy. 4 as it crosses north from Brandbu to Eina. There are several possible trails. This trailhead may be the closest to the summit.
Drive north on Hwy. 4, uphill to Lygna. There is a gas station as well as a cafeteria on the highest point of the road (on your right). Continue about 300 meter, fork right onto a road that is signed for Hurdalen. Drive (mostly downhill) about 3.5 kilometer. Look for a forest road that forks right. This road has a gate, if closed then find parking and proceed up the road on foot. If open, then continue driving to a small place called Bustevollen. This is about one kilometer from the gate. Park here, location N60.43831, E010.70753, elevation near 650 meter.
Route description:
A rougher forest road heads south from near the end of the bend on the road you just completed. Hike about ten meter on this road, then find signs on your left and also a forest trail signed for Lushaugen. Follow this blue marked trail to the summit. A pretty tall viewing tower has been built on the summit.
Comments:
I was on my way to my mountain cabin, driving alone I decided to make a stop near Lyngna and climb this hill, the most prominent in all of Akershus.
