How to get there:
This hill is locted on the island Halsenøy. Travel from Bergen on E-16 to the traffic circle at
Trengereid, go right onto Hwy. 7 towards Norheimsund. In the traffic circle just after exiting
the long tunnel leaving Samanger, go right towards Gjermundshamn and take the ferry across to
Årsnes. About 1.5 hours drive from Bergen. On the other side, go south (right) passing through
Rosendal and onwards along the coast to Sunde just south of Husnes, where a 4 kilometer tunnel connects
you to the island. On the island,
drive south about 2 kilometer and find parking near location N59.78161, E005.74461, elevation about 60 meter.
Route:
Follow the farmers road to the summit.
There are two routes, you may fork left, then follow a trail from the upper end of
the tractor road, or continue straight then take a short trail (left) when almost at
the summit.
Comments:
I did this trip with my friend Harald. After Sundnessåta,
we drove to the trailhead and left around 1025. About 15 minutes to the summit.
We were back at the car around 1100, now heading for Ravnakulten.
