How to get there:
This hill is locted just north of the island Halsenøy.
Travel from Bergen on E-16 to the traffic circle at
Trengereid, go right onto Hwy. 7 towards Norheimsund. In the traffic circle just after exiting
the long tunnel leaving Samanger, go right towards Gjermundshamn and take the ferry across to
Årsnes. About 1.5 hours drive from Bergen. On the other side, go south (right) passing through
Rosendal and onwards along the coast to Sunde just south of Husnes. The trailhead is located quite close
to the traffic circle at the north side of the tunnel to the island Halsenøy.
The location is N59.84124, E005.72861, elevation near 15 meter.
Route:
There are several signed trails. First, head along the base of the hill, then follow
signs that will take you more steeply uphill, but on good trails.
There is a small shelter at the
summit and quite a nice view
down to the village of Husnes. Comments:
I did this trip with my friend Harald. After Brattåsen,
we drove to the trailhead and left around 1425. About 25 minutes to the summit.
We were back at the car around 1515, now heading for Bogsnesåsen,
the last hill on this trip.
