How to get there:
This mountain is located in the Sveio municipality, along E-39 south of Bergen.
A good trailhead is at location N59.62196, E5.48245, elevation around 47 meter.
There is space for parking several cars.
Route:
First, follow the old forest road until it meets another such road coming from your right.
Continue to follow a well used trail (uphill left).
This will get you directly to the summit viewpoint.
In order to get to the highest point, you need to follow a small trail that descends into
a ravine, then climbs to the south summit point. This is the highest point.
Comments:
I did this hike with my friend Kjell. Quite a nice, but short walk got us to
the summit around 1140. Good views and a nice summit. We returned to the car, planning to next visit
Vardafjellet.
We made a new visit to this peak on December 9th. It turned out
that we had missed the highest point. This is located on the south
side of a pretty big ravine. The weather was just very nice.
A trail continues from the first summit, it descends into the
ravine, then climbs the opposite side.
