How to get there:
This mountain is located on the island of Stord. From Bergen, travel E-39 to Halhjem and take the ferry to Sandvikvåg. The ferry takes 45 minutes and departs every 20 minutes.
Turn right after exiting the ferry. Drive to Fitjar, then make a left and find the road serving the wind turbins. There is a big parking at location N59.90817, E005.37173, elevation about 270 meter.
Route:
Take the road that serves the wind turbins. Near the top, locate a trail that serves the summit.
Comments:
I was in the area with Heidi. She was looking for "stolper", a Norwegian tour orienteering concept. A short side-trip from our location got me to the summit.
Note: Until November 2024, this summit was believed to be the highest in the area with prominence exceeding 100 meter. This distinction now belongs to Midtfjellsåta being about 40 centimeter higher.
