Information:

How to get there:
From Lillehammer, follow signs for Nordseter, but make a left into Kringsjåvegen shorly after passing the olympoic ice halls (on your right). Drive Kringsjåvegen, the road will curve right and climb. Higher up, there is a short left branch in order to get onto the correct final stretch. As the hill eases, there is parking on your right. This location is N61.15346, E10.45280 with elevation near 450 meter.
Route:
A track is posted on Peakbagger.com. Note that this track also includes the very last part of driving to the trailhead.
A trail (forest road) starts immediately on the opposite side of the road. It soon branches. Take the left fork. This path will climb and traverse around the south side with good views back (left) towards Lillehammer and the lake Mjøa. The upper part is slightly steeper, but still quite easy to walk/ski. The summit is a small open area with views to the north as well as a pretty nice view of the lake Mjøsa south.
Comments:
I needed to make a trip to Lillehammer as we had forgotten to store beer for Christmas in our basement. The plan was therefore first to ski this summit, then buy beer and drive back up to our mountain cabin. This mountain/hill is located quite close to the Bjørstad and the Fagstad farms. These farms are in my family history. My Grandfather Erling Bjørstad started his life here.
I started skiing shortly after 1200 - noon. I quickly discovered that this hill is used by the locals as a walking hill. Several tracks, all from people walking. The ascent was pretty nice, I was on top in about half an hour. After a 5 minute break to enjoy the views, I descended, but this time along a different track, Skiing carefully since the snow cover was still a bit marginal, I was back down in about 20 minutes.
