Information:

How to get there:
Drive the new tunnel road from the E-16 Hwy. in Nærøydalen to the small farm community Jordalen. Continue up the valley. One may ascend this peak directly from the steep, south side, however, an alternative is to drive the road all the way to near location N60.94477, E6.72962, elevation near 765 meter. The upper part of this road is a toll road. (NOK 50 in 2024, pay with VIPPS.)
Route description:
Locate the bridge, slightly north of the trailhead, then head up the wide hillside (south-west) south of the peak Kjøroldenuten. It is a good option to include this peak, this would only add a little time. Follow the main crest south to the summit. You will cross a couple of local (lower) summits along the way.
Comments:
I did this hike with my friend Harald. We left Bergen at 0700 and were ready to walk around 0940. We first ascended Kjøroldenuten. Next, descending from this small peak and walking south. A very nice November day. Some smaller patches of new snow, sunshine and good colors. We arrived at the summit about 1:20 after leaving Kjøroldenuten. Nice views all around. We next walked back north and descended to our car, this return took about one hour.
